The book takes the reader through a series of questions that Rosie has about adoption.  For example, Rosie asks her parents "Are you my real parents?" and "Where did I live before?"  Through the answers, young readers, adopted and otherwise will learn about adoption and the many diverse forms that can make up a family.  At the end of the book there are 6 key discussion points intended as a guide to parents when discussing adoption with their children.
